It's Monday! What Are You Reading? - Apr 11, 2010

>> Sunday, April 11, 2010

It's Monday again and time for the What Are You Reading Meme hosted by Sheila .

Last week

Beyond the Highland Mist by Karen Marie Moning. I enjoyed this one and look forward to reading more in the series.

Currently

I started Pride and Prejudice and Zombies right after finishing Mist....and am still slogging through it (page 184). I can't decide as to whether or not I'm enjoying it but I've been advised that its definitely worth it in the end so I'll keep at it. If nothing else, it does make me laugh.

Up Next

I think I'll read one of Megan Hart's books next. That's my plan right now but who knows what mood will strike when I finish Zombies.

How about you?

Oh, and next October I plan to participate in the Dewey's 24 hour Readathon! I came across this too late this time around but I think it looks like great fun. I'd have to farm my children out for this time as getting anything done with them around is near to impossible!

Hi, (another It's Monday...reader here)

I've been wondering about the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies books. But the word you used, "slogging" through it, makes me think I might just get too frustrated with it. However, have you heard about the new one out, with Little Women and Werewolves? I just might like it, depending on how it reads. Good luck with finishing your book.

I've also wondering about Megan Hart. I almost bought one of her books. Worth it? or the first time read for you?

Interested in seeing whether you do like Zombies in the end. Hope you have a great week. Oh and the Dewey Read-A-Thon was exhausting still trying to get my eyes to focus.

I've only read one of Karen Marie Moning, always intended to read more but haven't got around to it. Hope you have a great week!

I am still undecided about reading those rewrites of classics, I have to admit to being a bit suspicious and I am scared that if I read the new ones and then re-read the originals, I would be thinking of zombies.

I did the readathon this weekend so I have read more than usual

What? no Repairman Jack this week? I recently traded a copy of Nightworld on Swaptree and met a fellow RJ enthusiast. So they do exist!

have a lovely week, T.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is one I am not sure I could get through either.... havent tried it yet.

YAY to see you joining the readathon in October!

I missed out on the readathon this time too. I didn't realize there was another one in October. I may be sending my kids off to grandma's house for that one!

Nancy - I have it on good authority (from F. Paul himself) that the next book in the series, Reprisal, I should wait to read until after the next RJ book comes out this fall. So I'm being as patient as I can. I *hate* reading books out of order.

Mardel - Thanks for visiting. I haven't read any Megan Hart yet but I've heard good things about her books. Watch here for what I think! I hadn't heard about Little Women and Werewolves but I confess that I haven't ever read Little Women...yet!

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies - I am so curious about this one.
Hope you have a wonderful week!

I'm not sure I could bring myself to read P&P & Zombies, I'm too much of a purest. Although, I'd be curious to see what you think of it. Have a fantastic week of reading!

Yes, the readathon + kiddos = not a whole lot of reading. I'm in the same predicament. But it's still so much fun! Glad to have seen you around from time to time and hopefully you'll get to do some more next time around.

Have a fabulous reading week!

I have been enjoying the monster/Austen mashups. They are such a change of pace. I have read/listened to three now and I think that the prequel, Dawn of the Dreadfuls was my favorite.

Thanks for the visit to my blog! :-) I'm with you - I found out about the read-a-thon too late to do it. I'm not sure I'll be able to in October, though I hope to!
